Yes. SHCS is dually accredited through Cognia, and the Tennessee Association of Christian Schools (TACS) . We are recognized by the TN Dept. of Education as a Category 2 School. In addition, each of our faculty has demonstrated scholastic achievement and many possess a degree beyond their bachelor’s. All classroom teachers possess certification through TACS.
Kindergarten through 5th grades begin at 8 AM and end at 3 PM.
Middle school & high school begins at 8 AM and ends at 3:10 PM.
Yes. Students may be dropped off as early as 6:30 AM and stay as late as 6 PM. There is a nominal charge for before- and after-care.
Students entering Kindergarten must be 5 on or before August 15.
Yes. Breakfast items are served from 6:30 until 7:45 AM (Prices vary as to the item chosen). We offer a variety of lunch items. Salads, soups, a la carte items, or the daily hot lunch are available for purchase.
At this time, we do not provide bus transportation; however, many parents carpool with those in their particular area.
At this time, SHCS does not have the staff or facility to accommodate students who have severe physical handicaps, who have severe learning or social difficulties, who are emotionally disturbed or who have a history of disruptive behavior.
As SHCS uses a rolling admissions process, there is no deadline to apply as long as there is space available.
